Author: José Jordão was born in the village of Sintra, on December 27, 1962. At the age of eight he wrote his first quatrains and over the years poetry became a constant in his life. Having dedicated his youth to roller hockey, artistic activities have always been his desired vocation. He started doing amateur theater and quickly ventured into writing and staging children’s plays, when at the age of 17 he became founder and director of the Sintra City Council Theater Group. As music is a passion, she wrote several children’s songs, and one of them becomes the winner of the first Chaminé de Ouro Children’s Song Festival, in Portimão. Other songs end up obtaining several awards, both as winners of Festivals and for the authorship of best lyrics. In 1986, she participates singing in the Alentejo Song Festival, where three songs of her own are selected, and one wins the festival. He created and developed children’s theatre works, such as The Adventures of Uncle Max and several clown sketches, which he took to schools, libraries and children’s parties. He ends up dedicating himself once and for all to song, performing essentially in hotels and bars, which is still his main activity today.
