Jordi Sierra i Fabra was born in Barcelona in 1947. He started writing at the age of eight and decided at twelve that his vocation was to be a novelist. However, seduced by rock music, he began his professional career as director of some of Spain’s most influential music magazines (Disco Express, Popular I, etc.). He published more than sixty books on the history and biographies of rock artists, and at the same time cultivated all literary genres: children’s stories, novels for young people and adults, science fiction, humor, poetry, film scripts… have won the most prestigious prizes, such as the Néstor Luján Prize for historical novels, the Villa de Bilbao, the Ateneo de Sevilla, the EDEBÉ Prize, the Columna, the National Prize… but they have also been taken to the screen. He is a tireless traveler and works tirelessly. He currently runs the Jordi Sierra i Fabra Foundation (in Barcelona) and the Taller de Letras (in Medellín), to promote the literary vocation among young writers.
