«I didn’t want to write a method or a manual. I’m just trying to explain what I think, what I feel, and what I believe the art of writing is for me. Alejandro Jodorowsky says that if you are (or feel) lucky, if life has blessed you with a gift (or if you think you have it), you should share it with others, and even give part of it without expecting anything in return. I suppose I do it through my novels, but during years of speaking in schools, colleges and universities in Spain and Latin America, talking about this subject and responding to the concerns of those who, in some way, feel this flame in their being, I realized that what interests them most about me is the way I write. And answering this “how” is not easy. For this reason, I have to risk putting everything here, that is, answer that question and “write about how I write”.

Sharing my experience with other would-be writers is also a way to take what I love most to the end, since I am not, nor do I feel capable of being, a master, a teacher, an academic or an intellectual to teach about the divine and the human of literature.
