Author: Teresa Dangerfield was born in Lisbon in 1956. She has a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese and English) from the Universidade Clássica de Lisboa and an MA in Translation from the University of Bristol (UK). She taught Portuguese in the UK, where she has lived for over 30 years. She was also a Pedagogical Support Teacher at the Portuguese Teaching Coordination in the UK. She is a translator and devotes herself to writing, a passion that has accompanied her since childhood. In previous years, she had already published poems in collections, but she made her debut with the short story Até que os Sinos Dobrem, in the collection Não Vão os Lobos Voltar, in 2020. She has also collaborated with Palavrar magazine since 2020, publishing short stories, two of them for children. More recently, thanks to having taken part in a writing challenge for a children’s short story, launched by Trinta-por-uma-lina, her short story Um aniversário com Tubarões will be published in a collection by that publisher. She is a member of the Premium Writers’ Club and the “Encontros Literários o Prazer da Escrita” Reading Club.
