Lucinda Cunha was born in Germany in 1973. She has a degree in Portuguese/French (teaching) and a Master’s degree in Portuguese Culture. She is originally from Vila Pouca de Aguiar, but lives and works in the municipality of Guimarães. She has always been fascinated by words, language and literature and her favorite writers include José Saramago, Eça de Queirós, Padre António Vieira, Jorge Amado, José Eduardo Agualusa, Luís Sepúlveda and Isabel Allende. In her opinion, the novel Memorial do Convento, by the Portuguese Nobel Prize winner, is the best book she has ever read. She enjoys reading and writing and is starting a writing career without forgetting her vocation for teaching. She has published A Galinha Cassild and Duque, o Porco; Caderneta de Cromos – 7.º Ano and Pássaros de Papel.
