Marta in front of the mirror

10,60

Marta is seventeen, or she was when she passed to the other side of the mirror, to that of empty, painless, irreversible eternity.

The mirror in front of which he now remembers the last months of his life does not return his image. Just memories. But also sensations: the relief of not having, for example, heard the cry of the mother or the echoes of the deaf despair of the father, the feeling of liberation that comes from not being forced to pretend to eat, or even worse, to eat something to satisfy her family…

In a theatrical monologue that reads like a story, Marta talks to herself with the frankness and rawness typical of her state, smoothing through irony the edges of some memories that will inevitably lead her to miss that Marta who one day ceased to be.
