Author: My name is Angela, I’m a computer engineer and my day-to-day job is programming web applications. A few years ago I discovered that writing for children allows me to escape from the daily routine into the midst of adventures where there are no limits. By writing, I broaden my horizons and unleash my creativity in search of another me, where adventure overcomes all sensations and limits disappear to give wings to freedom. Writing for children’s audiences began as a joke to tell about an adventure I had on the Camino de Santiago. Then it became a challenge that I enjoyed immensely, a passionate discovery of creating stories that could inspire and delight little ones. Writing for children is more than just telling stories, it’s a journey that allows me to self-discover by flying through the realm of imagination. Each story I create is a new place to explore, new characters who come to life and face exciting challenges. That’s what writing for children is all about, the freedom to dream, invent, create and shape worlds where there are no limits. By writing for children we have the opportunity to convey meaningful messages in a simple way that is receptive to the child, arousing curiosity and introducing the seeds of important values. Writing for children becomes for me a connection to my inner child, who dreams of extraordinary adventures and enchanted worlds. Anything could be possible. It’s like a treasure map, full of challenges, where the charm of the path is more important than reaching the treasure itself. A children’s book becomes an adventure without having to leave your seat, because it gives you the ability to fly.
