John’s House

12,50

Casa do João is inspired by the rant with the same title and the various characters that inhabit it: João’s family, «so different in their ways»; the witch Malfalda and the «old and faithful wild dog, the Migalha; the mouse, mouse and the cat, kitten, cat; the dog pointer; Marta’s tabby cat «who came to gatarize João’s House»; the cat in cold water scalded, sold by hare; the poet barking at the moon; the ark of the banzé; the girl Mariana; the cat with half a leech, and so many other relatives. Casa do João is a common house: João Manuel Ribeiro’s who wrote the twelve poems and João Vaz de Carvalho’s who (wonderfully) illustrated them.
